Contextual linking.
Contextual linking is an effective method in search engine optimization that can really direct traffic to one’s site. This technique gives a site the believability factor. The text that is clickable in a site should be made up of a keyword that will appear first as a result if looked for by a search engine. For example, if a person is interested in the phrase “SEO Writing”, they would try to find as much contextual links to the phrase in their homepage so that when another person goes to Google and searches for SEO Writing, the results shown on the first page, directs users to their homepage. These links only work if they can link to a page that majorly talks about the keyword. For example, if the keyword is article writing, it should link to a page which talks about writing of articles. Links that are contextual are used in a document to create a connection between specific pages in a document with its context. These links are normally placed within a given point in the presentation of a text. The placing of these links in the context of a text can direct traffic to one’s website. It works best when the text has an average of 5-10 outbound links, the links should be from authoritative and high quality sites, text should be natural, the back links should be placed within the content of the page and the links come from sites that are related to one’s website.
